- Is this dock compatible with M1 / M2 / M3 / M4 / M5 Macs?
- Macs with ‘base’ M1, M2, or M3 processors will support only one external display. Macs with M1 Pro, M1 Max, M2 Pro, M2 Max, M3 Pro, M3 Max, and all M4 and M5 processors will support two external displays.
- How can I make sure this dock supports two displays with my laptop?
- Ensure your computer has a Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4 port, or USB4 port that is running Windows 10+ or macOS 11+ or later. Note, Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C only hosts, as well as base M1/M2/M3 MacBooks will support 1 display.
- Why should I choose a dock with extra downstream Thunderbolt ports?
- Downstream Thunderbolt ports maximize device flexibility. With a Thunderbolt 4 host, they support Thunderbolt 4, 3, and USB-C connections. When connected to a Thunderbolt 5 host, the downstream port is limited to Thunderbolt 4 speeds.
- Can this dock charge my laptop?
- This dock provides up to 100W Power Delivery (96W Certified) to charge compatible hosts. Laptops with a high power draw such as gaming / performance laptops may not properly charge.
- What are the dimensions and weight of the TBT4-UD5?
- The TBT4-UD5 is 2.3 x 22.5 x 8.5 cm, or 0.9 x 8.9 x 3.3 inches. It weighs 365 grams or 12.9 oz.
